Before launching RadioWise, Jo worked for Skillset as their South Development Manager responsible for all strategy and engagement across industry, Education and strategic partners within the South East and South West. During this time she was also Project Manager for a national pilot scheme, Route into Radio, working in partnership with BBC, commercial and community radio stations across the South East to nurture new talent. Prior to that Jo was Managing Director of Southern Film Education, a company she set up to deliver film and media education to schools, colleges and universities as well as CPD for teachers and industry practitioners. Originally a lecturer in film and media, Jo has worked as a freelance consultant on several film festivals including London Film Festival Brief Encounters and Showcomotion; as well as writing numerous media education publications. Bob Hoad: Bob Hoad is currently MD at The Coast, the regional station playing soft rock to Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex. He has spent over 25 years in commercial radio and is best known for his time as MD at Southern FM in Brighton, but he has also managed Invicta FM, Red Dragon and Fox FM. He has coached and mentored dozens of programming, marketing and sales staff. A strong advocate for skills development, he has introduced innovative ways of encouraging those who wish to pursue a career in radio. His current role with Global Radio is to manage the corporate social responsibility community programmes, where he has been involved in the award winning Lights Out London and Green Month. Most recently he has been the Project Co-ordinator for Skillset's Route Into Radio working with over 30 interns across the pilot scheme in the South of England. Tim Humphrey: Tim is the News Editor at Heart Sussex and News team Regional representative for the Heart stations in Kent, Hampshire and Dorset as well as the Hit Music Station at Mercury in Crawley. He has previously worked as a presenter and journalist for the BBC in Sussex and Surrey. In his time in commercial radio, Tim has also presented for LBC, read bulletins for Capital Radio, XFM and Planet Rock and been a contributor to both Classic FM and Choice FM. Tim has a long history in Broadcast journalism training. He has been a board member of the Broadcast Journalist Training Council, has been part of the accreditation panel at Nottingham Trent University and has taught at Highbury College, the London College of Communications, Cardiff University and the University of Middlesex. He has also worked for Skillset’s Route into Radio programme and contributed to the current BJTC guidelines for colleges. Mike Huston: Mike started his radio career in 1995, as a customer. He bought radio twice; the first time was a bad experience, the second a great one, and he has used those feelings as the foundation to all the radio sales training I have done. Mike has always been passionate about radio, and radio sales training. His career started originally at Leicester Sound for GWR in 1996. Subsequently I was Sales Director and Acting Managing Director at Invicta radio, Regional Sales Director for Capital Radio, Regional Sales Director at KMFM and Managing Director at Time FM. Mike has been involved in radio sales training and induction training over the last thirteen years. Aaron Matthews: Aaron started his career at Portsmouth’s Radio Victory before moving through the ranks at Capital Radio Group's stations Ocean and Power FM. Working under industry veterans such as Mark Sadler and Adrian Stewart, Aaron honed his production skills culminating in providing production for the entire Century network. In 2005 Aaron became producer of Ocean’s breakfast show and managed many successful station events including Skool Daze Live and Xmas Factor. In 2007 Aaron worked on station production for both London’s Magic 105.4 and BBC Radio 1. Since January 2008 Aaron has been the Senior Producer of Hit 40 UK; the commercial radio network's Sunday chart show. More recently Aaron was one of the creative team working in the run up to the launch of the UK’s most exciting new chart show countdown, The Big Top 40 Show. He has now moved onto produce 95.8 Capital FM's brand new interactive evening show presented by national chart show hosts Rich Clarke and Kat Shoob. Mike Osborne: Mike is the Director of MO Audio Productions as well as one of Britain’s leading audio and radio production specialists. During the 80s and 90s he was responsible for audio production on the internationally renowned ‘Chris Tarrant Breakfast show’ and pioneered advanced production techniques with Sony Award winning documentaries. Nowadays he works with Paul McKenna to create the Hypnotic Audio CD’s sold with every Paul McKenna book across the world and is in high demand from blue chip clients and advertising agencies for his commercial production skills. In addition to providing these core services through MO Audio Productions, Mike is also pioneering the application of audio production to the Internet to enable companies to increase the profitability of their websites. Briggy Smale: Briggy worked for many years as the entertainment news presenter on the Jo Whiley show on Radio 1. She was also the agony aunt on Radio 1’s ‘The ‘Sunday Surgery’, reported regularly on gigs and showbiz events around the world for the BBC and was the voice of the ‘All Access” series on MTV/VH1.
